In the native XG50 waveset there are many special FX sounds, which are only available in the Y-XG50 original table, are XG driver related (also spatial- and other effects only available therein on 32Bit XG driver if working or created on the Y-XG50 vsti plugin with native yamaha tables) and nowhere else. Therefor this is not reproduced correctly when using re-installed thirdparty MIDI interfacing (Bassmidi, Virtualsynth) on x64 (32bit XG drivers not working there, native proprietary Y-XG softsynth drivers for x64 are in fact non-existent) machines with downloaded universal or reworked wavetables (of which are many around of course). The XGworks application itself essentially works, but the special XG sound FX effects are off, different instruments. Not in place. (it would require an entirely customized wavetable).
